Workshops
The standard 2 day workshop fills a Saturday morning and afternoon and the following Sunday morning. This is convenient for delegates from far to complete return travel arrangements on the same day.

The workshop includes an introduction to the ultrasound machine and transducer handling, nerve block anatomy, demonstrations of actual nerve blocks, ultrasound imaging on human volunteers, and practice of actual ultrasound guided nerve blocks on anesthetized pigs.

Please do the following PRE-READING for this course;
(i) Read the upper limb nerves and brachial plexus in any standard text book with special reference to which nerves, trunks and cords supply which muscles.
(ii) Read the lumbar and sacral plexus nerves in any standard text book.
(iii) Read Dr. Raw’s text in ultrasound guided transducer handling (PDF, click here). Further printed 300 pages material handed out at registration.
