WHY CHOOSE A R.A.S.C.I. ultrasound guided REGIONAL ANESTHESIA COURSE?

We believe RASCI offers a unique combination of small group intimacy for best question and answer opportunities, experienced teachers, unique live actual block demonstrations and amazing animal-based hands-on workshops. Our director has 18 years experience in daily hands-on practical regional anesthesia including 14 years in a busy regional anesthesia private practice, 10 years international experience in live sharp-needle nerve block teaching, and also over 3 years of teaching ultrasound guided regional anesthesia.

The rest of the team are other University of Iowa staff are faculty, some of whom are fellowship trained in ultrasound guided region anesthesia, including residents and fellow currently in regional anesthesia training. They all share enthusiasm and delight in teaching.

If a 2-D picture paints a thousand words seeing the lecturer perform a live 3-D ultrasound guided nerve block in the auditorium paints a million words.

Placing needle into a gelatine nerve tissue phantom helps get some of the  concept  of doing a nerve block, but actually doing a nerve block on an anesthetized animal under a teacher’s guidance and then repeating it gives the delegate a real confident feeling.
